You are at my homesite now. The pages you see are loaded from my laptop.
At my end of Internet the server laptop is connected via Wi Fi, that's
why I don't expect download speed to be faster than 1 MBytes per second.
I'm sorry for that!
I want to make my site better. I'm planning:
- Renew signalling wires at my home and connect the server laptop via copper cable. In fact, my home Wi Fi runs poorly: lots of neighbour networks interfere with my one and server gets disconnected sometimes. Right now my server lays near to Wi Fi Access Point but it's not the solution I want
- Make another device my web-server. Single board computer, maybe. BTW I like some exotic technical solutions and anything may be expected! =) For example, separation the content to different backend-servers: static content could be stored from a single board computer with 486 CPU running under DOS and a Raspberry Pi can handle a database with a photo gallery and making small-size preview files with transfering resulting static files to the DOS server... Right now I'm just thinking what to do
- Add some new functions to my site. In addition to static pages I'd like to make a photo gallery and perhaps a blog with user comments. Probably, galleries and block would be multi-user. Now I'm just reading books about SQL, SSL, PERL and other BASICs
